Workout Programming 101. . What do you want to workout? Keep it simple: upper body, core, or lower body. . Let’s use lower body for this example and say we have 20 min to spare. We need length of workout, intensity, movement, and rep scheme. . To keep intensity high, short intervals of 3 min or less will work best. Movements will be push (squat, lunge, or jumps) pull (deadlift or KB Swing) and a combo (burpee, rowing, or thruster). Weight should be something that allows you to stay moving with very little rest within 3 min. For reps we are looking for 15+ reps. . Here’s the workout. 3 Min Clock 15 Air Squat 10 KB Swing 45/25# 5 Burpees Rest 90 sec x 4 Sets. . The goal here is to accumulate as many rounds and reps as possible in the 3 minutes.
