HERE’S YOGA YOU CAN PRACTISE AT HOME —> Cobra Pose - an #asana we practise in #Bikram - is a back bend that helps you #strengthen your lower back and it helps prevent lower-back pain. It’s also really good for menstrual aches and pains and increases your spinal flexibility and #strength. 🐍 To get into Cobra, start by placing your hands underneath your shoulders, elbows tucked in to your ribs. Take a deep inhale as you lift your chest up, stretching your tummy muscles. Now lift your hands off the ground and keep your chest lifted. Keep your legs and feet together, engage the muscles, including glutes and quads, by lifting your knee caps. Press the tops of your feet into the ground to help you stay lifted. Focus and hold (for about 20 seconds) remembering to breathe. Exhale as you come down to the ground, hands to to your side and cheek on the mat. 🐉 The second move I show you is a variation, with hands spread out to the side in a T-shape. Once your chest of lifted, you can raise your feet and legs off the ground too, so you’re balancing on the soft part of your tummy. Hold for another 20 seconds and then gently exhale to come down. This also helps strengthen legs and shoulders and arms.
